6-4 Using Network Monitoring Tools

Wireless Port These settings apply to the wireless port of the router:
Name (11N SSID) The 11N wireless network name (SSID) being used by the wireless
port of the router. The default is NETGEAR-DualBand-N.
Name (11G SSID) The 11G wireless network name (SSID) being used by the wireless
port of the router. The default is NETGEAR-2.4-G.
Region The geographic region where the router is being used. It might be
illegal to use the wireless features of the router in some parts of the
world.
11N Channel Identifies the 11N channel of the wireless port being used. Click the
link to the online document “Wireless Networking Basics” in
Appendix B for the frequencies used on each channel. In Up to
270Mbps at 5GHz & 54Mbps at 2.4GHz mode, there are two
channels: a primary channel (P) and a secondary channel (S).
11G Channel Identifies the 11G channel of the wireless port being used. Click the
link to the online document “Wireless Networking Basics” in
Appendix B for the frequencies used on each channel. In Up to
270Mbps at 2.4GHz mode and Up to 130Mbps at 2.4GHz mode, the
11G channel is not active.
Mode Indicates the wireless communication mode:
Up to 270Mbps at 2.4GHz
Up to 270Mbps at 5GHz & 54Mbps at 2.4GHz (default)
Up to 130Mbps at 2.4GHz
Up to 130Mbps at 5GHz & 54Mbps at 2.4GHz
Wireless AP Indicates whether the radio feature of the router is enabled. If this
feature is not enabled, the Wireless light on the front panel is off.
Broadcast Name Indicates whether the router is broadcasting its SSID.
