Using the Manager Interface to Configure the Router for Internet Access 8-3

Select Standard.

If your Service Type is RoadRunner and your RoadRunner region requires the login program:

Select the RoadRunner login program used in your region.

Enter the login name and password provided by RoadRunner.

If RoadRunner provided an authentication server address, enter it as Login Server IP address.

Otherwise, leave this field as 0.0.0.0.

Use the space bar to toggle the IP Address Assignment field to Static or Dynamic.

If your service provider has assigned you an IP address to be manually configured in your PC,

select Static. In this case, enter your assigned IP address, subnet mask, and gateway address

(the address of the ISP’s router). If you do not know the gateway address, leave this field as

0.0.0.0.

Use the space bar to toggle the Single User Account field to Yes.

Press [Enter] at the Press ENTER to Confirm... prompt to confirm your selections.

You can press [Esc] at any time to cancel your selections. When you save this menu, the router

automatically creates a default static route to the ISP.

Remote Node Setup Menu

Additional settings for Internet Access connection are provided in Menu 11 - Remote Node Setup.

To access Menu 11:

Enter 11 from the Main Menu to display Menu 11 - Remote Node Setup.

Menu 11.1 - Remote Node Profile opens as shown in Figure 8-2.
