Hardware Description
The HE102 Wireless Access Point provides a bridge between Ethernet wired
LANs and 802.11a compatible wireless LAN networks. It provides connectivity
between 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet wired networks and radio-equipped
wireless notebook systems, desktop systems, print servers, and other devices.
The HE102 Wireless Access Point uses the IEEE 802.11a standard Orthogonal
Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) radio modulation scheme to
accomplish up to 54 Mbps fast data transfer rate on the radio network. The
HE102 also provides up to 72 Mbps data transfer rate in turbo mode.
The HE102 Wireless Access Point supports these hardware functions:
Built-in dual antenna assembly to support antenna diversity on both
transmit and receive
Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) data encryption (64-bit/128-bit/152-bit)
accomplished on the fly
WEB based management and configuration
Firmware stored in flash to allow easy firmware upgrade from remote
locations
