Hardware Installation

This chapter explains how to install the hardware for the ProSafe™ 24-Port L2 Managed Switch

with Static Routing GSM7224R and the ProSafe™ 48-Port L2 Managed Switch with Static

Routing GSM7248R.

Package Contents

The switch is packed and shipped separately. The package contains the following items:

• Managed Layer 2 Switch with preinstalled software

• Power adapter cord

• Rubber footpads for tabletop installation

• Rubber caps for the SFP sockets

• Rack-mounting kit

• Null-modem serial cable (RS-232) with 9-pin connectors
