Slot: One ExpressCard/34 or ExpressCard/54 slot. Alternatively, one Type II PC Card slot and an ExpressCard/34

Your AirCard 597E ExpressCard

Your AirCard 597E ExpressCard fits into the ExpressCard slot of Windows-based notebook computers. The AirCard

597E ExpressCard uses the VZAccess Manager software and enhanced EV-DO Rev. A technology capable of

operating in Verizon Wireless BroadbandAccess coverage areas at average download speeds of 600 to 1400 kbps

and download speeds of 500 to 800 kbps*.

* Speeds based on our network tests with 5MB FTP data files, without compression. Actual speeds and coverage

may vary.

• ExpressCard: this is the device that, when plugged into a Personal Computer, provides wireless data

solutions

• Computer interface connector: connects to your Personal Computer via the computer’s ExpressCard

slot

• Service LEDs: visual indicators that show you service and data modes. The ExpressCard has two LED

light bars. The LED light bars operate as described in the table on the following page.

• External antenna jack: allows you to connect an optional external antenna to your ExpressCard for

improved performance (sold separately).
