The ProSafe Network Management System enables

the network administrator to perform central

“Element Management” for NETGEAR products.

Detection

Products are automatically detected in the network

and the application provides the corresponding

topology as an overview.

Configuration

The application can be used to implement an efficient

configuration (back-up and restore) and firmware/

OS management. The network devices can also be

configured directly from the application.

Monitoring

ProSafe NMS monitors the network and immediately

triggers an alarm (alarms and events) should a

problem occur.

The provision of data by the network devices enables

statistics to be created and evaluated as real-time

reports or trend reports (performance metrics).
